My name is Graham Lines and I am a qualified therapeutic masseur. I completed my practitioner’s diploma at the London College of Massage and am a full member of the Federation Of Holistic Therapists. I’ve also completed a BTEC Level 5 Clinical Sports & Remedial diploma at The School Of Natural Therapies and am a full member of The Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage.

I’ve completed a First Aid course and in addition to my diplomas, acquired my accreditation for Indian Head, Hot Stone & Acupressure Massage.

I live in West Hoathly with my partner, Liz. We are both animal lovers and especially like the company of dogs, walking the beautiful local countryside. I also enjoy playing tennis whenever possible.

I believe that my clients’ needs are of the utmost importance and am committed to meeting those needs with standards of the highest level. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals.

Swedish massage can be a slow, gentle and relaxing body massage or vigorous and bracing. Another form of Swedish massage is deep tissue which can address the stiffness and pain in muscles.

Hot and Cold Stone Therapy

Hot Stone

Hot stone massage combines the benefits of hydrotherapy and thermotherapy with massage strokes to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment. Using the heat of the stones to warm the skin allows the skin to absorb moisturising and therapeutic oils,where at the same time preparing the musculature of the body so the therapist can work into the deeper muscle layers. It is generally accepted that one stroke of a heated basalt stone is equivalent to 5-10 strokes of the therapist’s hand.

Cold stone therapy works on the principle of heat exchange and generates a toning or strengthening response to several body systems, most notably the immune system.It creates a dramatic movement of fluids within the body,generating a healing,cleansing and nourishing effect due to the alternate constriction and dilation of the blood vessels.

This treatment helps to calm the mind and is deeply relaxing.Working with a firm and gentle rhythm it helps to relieve muscular discomfort and tension as well as calming the spirit and aiding relaxation, it also improves circulation in the head, enhances the senses and promotes clear thinking. Therapy is concentrated on the muscles of the upper back, shoulders, upper arms,neck, face and scalp and is received by sitting upright in a chair.
